Why Kanyakumari is my first choice:"Kashmir to Kanyakumari" is a phrase we've heard a lot. Kanyakumari is at the southern tip of the Indian mainland. Festivals:
#1
The Cape Comorin festival is celebrated in the city of Kanyakumari. The festival is districted with its back to back wonderful cultural programs and events, which gives the clear picture of the culture and tradition of the city. Another myth which is attached to this grand day is that taking a sip of holy waters of the ocean is auspicious.
The cape festival is commemorated with great pomp and show, held for three days in the month of October.
If you want to enjoy the festival, you can visit the place in October.
#2
Celebrated in December, this is a Christian festival that is quite Indianized in the manner in which the procession of St. Joseph and Mother Mary is taken through the town.
It would be a delight to watch this festival for the explorers and Christians.
Right time to visit:
Winter months (December through February) are best to visit Kanyakumari. The cool breeze in the shores of Kanyakumari beach makes your trip more memorable one.
My plan:
As a nature enthusiast, I am eager to visit this location as soon as possible. Instead than travelling, I'd prefer to live in Kanyakumari if at all possible. Who wouldn't want to live somewhere where we could see the dawn and sunset from a vantage point with a view of the sea?
That concludes my first Let's Decode India blog. If you've already been to Kanyakumari, tell us about your experience.
